Roberto Cavalli redefines the phrase “a lo

Roberto Cavalli can sometimes end up as the butt of fashion jokes because of his bold, bright, print-heavy European aesthetic,www.downjacketsoutlet.com, but I find myself very often enjoying a number of his pieces. The Roberto Cavalli Thigh-High Calf Hair Boots are a full 180-degree flip from the for which I praised him last week – they’re mismatched, difficult to wear and more than a little tacky. Which is just how Cavalli likes it, on some of his worse days.

The mere sight of these boots is jarring enough,christian shoes, but then I realized that there’s a completely different animal print on the back (giraffe) than there is on the front (tiger), and it extends down to border the bottom of the boot. I’d love to see someone like Anna Dello Russo wear these and totally rock them out, but on almost anyone else, they’d likely be a disaster.

Fashion Week Shoes Christian Louboutin for Jonat

Something tells me that many Louboutin traditionalists aren’t going to be happy with ,www.monclerjacketsoutlets2012.comChristian Louboutin for Jonathan Saunders Fall 2011, but the more that I look at the photos from Saunders’ London runway show, the more the ultra-chunky styles grow on me. The collection, comprised exclusively of platform oxfords and ankled-strapped peep-toes, was rendered in jewel-toned velvet and mirrored metallic patent leather. Mirrored leather is turning out to be something of a beta trend for fall, with designers as disperate as Alexander Wang and Marc Jacobs using it to give their accessories and shoes a bit of shine. On my feet today Hunter Wellington Boots – TalkS

Vlad and I are enjoying the last bit of winter on our Lake Placid ski trip right now. I know, everyone else is scurrying down south for sun and sand while we are traveling north for snow and cold. Who, exactly, can fit her legs into thigh-high b

I’m blessed and/or cursed with the muscular legs which many girls develop by play soccer for most of their young lives, which is great for almost everything except wearing boots. Some of those problems result from the inability to navigate the foot through the narrow part of the ankle opening, others are based on legs that are just too big overall. I’ve seen many a pair of thigh-high boots both in person and on the internet, and this pair strikes me as among the thinnest. These boots were obviously designed for a very specific leg shape, all others need not apply, but I’m not sure that enough women out there have the correct combination of tall and skinny to make them feasible for mass market. They’re completely pull-on with no zippers for maneuverability, and for the money and time investment that would be required to buy these boots and struggled to put them on, I’ll just buy a pair of silver tights instead.

The Donna Karan Linen-Canvas Platform Sandals ar

There’s something about the ,Nike saleDonna Karan Linen-Canvas Platform Sandals this is just so thoroughly American. And when I say that, I mean they’re American in a Hamptons/Ralph Lauren/sailboat sort of way. Luckily for the folks at Donna Karan (and for us,www.monclerjacketsoutlets2012.com!),herve leger dress, that sort of American is just the thing that I want to sign up for at this time of year.

Baby blue is perhaps one of my least favorite colors in all of the known universe,www.michael-korsusa.org, but in this case, it just works. I’m not sure if it’s the summery fabric or the white trim, but this pair of shoes makes me want to cover myself in linen and head to the nearest rich-person beach that I can find. I’d save the heels for later, of course.

They’re not too dowdy and not too sexy – the material and color choices balance the sky-high heel and ankle straps perfectly. If you’re looking for the perfect accessory to dress up your perfect J. Crew button-downs, these shoes are what you want.
